A Puritan's Mind Mission Trips:

Lima, Peru 2003
Huaraz, Peru 2003
Lima, Peru 2004

The Great Commission of our Lord was given to the Apostles, the eleven, after the death of Judas.  Matthew 28:18-20 states, “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.”  As a result of the expectation of Messianic enthronement, and the perfection of Christ’s active obedience before the Father, He is given all authority.  His first exercise of this authority, other than the teachings He gave after His resurrection, was to command the apostles to go into the world and preach.  These were some of His last recorded words and commands before be “blessed them” and ascended into heaven. (Acts 1:7-8).

Jesus Christ sent out his apostles to preach in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the utter most parts of the earth.  We are to pray for the harvest, for it is plentiful.  We need biblically trained ministers and theologians to go into the uttermost parts of the earth and preach the Gospel.

In terms of missions, I believe the Lord is continuing to direct me to go into foreign countries and preach to the pastors there, equipping them to lead their congregations faithfully.  Without solid biblical training, they cannot lead the people of God as good pastors.  There is, of course, need for church planting in these countries.  But what about all those pastors who are already leading flocks, but have not been trained well to do so?  One pastor in Peru asked me where I went to school.  After explaining to him my schooling and background as humbly as I could, he said, "It shows that you are theologically trained in comparison to the others who come and preach "for show"."  It is to these men and to these pastors that I desire to minister.  They see the difference the biblical Gospel can make when it is explained in a way that demonstrates the power of God in the cross of Christ.

Pray that the Lord continues to open doors for me and my family to minister to pastors overseas.  Future trips include a small seminary that is beginning in the Bahamas, and cultivating a Reformed Witness in Honduras.  May God be glorified in these works.

You can use Paypal below to make a donation specifically for spreading the Gospel in Peru, and fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ.  When we raise enough for our group to go, and have a skilled interpreter to go with us, we will plan the next trip.  If you would like to send a donation by mail, please send it to:
