The Cage: A children's book teaching them about Hell.
Hopefully it will be a help to your children here.

The Doctrine of Hell, sin and wrath is somewhat of a hard concept to teach younger children.  In light of this, I thought it may be helpful to write a children's book with acceptable illustrations about wrath, sin and hell that they may be able to understand.  It is based on a metaphor about "the Cage."  The Cage has us locked up.  The Cage is sin.  Only Jesus Christ has the key to release us from the bondage of sin.  So the idea is that children are born in this cage that dangles over the flames of hell, and at any moment they could be plunged in unless the One who holds the key will come and open the door for them.  No one has this key but Jesus. Christ holds forth special promises about covenant children to parents and their children who are Christians, but that should not stop us from teaching our children about hell and its consequences.

It is in the style of a Dr. Seuss book, but it is like Dr. Seuss meets Christian Theology.
