Is APM really free??

This “free” resource is not free. Every sermon, treatise, catechism, and Puritan work you read on this site was found, typed, edited, formatted, and posted by hand. Thousands of them. And every one of them stays online only because someone pays to keep it there. For years, that someone has been me.

A Puritan’s Mind and our ring of Reformed sites carry real costs every single year: hosting, security, development, software, research and editing equipment, and the daily labor of keeping everything running and adding new content. If that work stops, the sites stop. My wife and I have dedicated our lives to promoting Biblical, Reformed, and Puritan literature for the sanctification of Christ’s church across the globe. But we cannot carry this alone any longer.

What A Puritan’s Mind has given the church

A Puritan’s Mind began 25 years ago as the only Reformed and Puritan site on the internet. Imitators soon appeared all over the web, but most of them have since dissolved and disappeared. A Puritan’s Mind remains. It is the only online Reformed and Puritan site that holds uncompromisingly to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to His Word in the Bible, and to the [1647 Westminster Confession and Standards], without any revision of those documents. That same commitment now extends through [CRTA] and [Reformed.org].

Each year, millions of readers come here to read, study, preach, and teach from these works. Pastors use them in the pulpit. Families use them in worship. Students use them in seminary. Yet only a very small handful of those readers ever give anything back to keep this resource alive (I can count them on one hand).

Here is the plain truth…

I know there are books displayed all over the site. The sales of those books do help, but a whole year of book sales hardly covers what is needed. The free library is not paying for itself. It is being paid for, quietly, out of our own pocket.
